Flexography is a form of printing process which utilizes a flexible relief plate. It can be used for printing on almost any type of substrate, including plastic, metallic films, cellophane and paper.
There is also rotogravure printing, the ink is applied directly to the cylinder and then transferred to the substrate. Once it dries the color is very clear.
Another kind of printing, the “sandwich” one, is used for jointed films. The film is printed on the external part so that the internal one can come in contact with the products that have to be wrapped without contaminating the film.
