Cold piercing of polythene

Low-density polyethylene and other films can be cold pierced: this work is fitful for all the products that need a light transpiration after packaging. During this process the plastic is pierced at room temperature. The application of this film can vary: from wrapping food that does not need much transpiration to the botany and vegetable ones.

In addition, the cold pierced polyethylene has a peculiar application to wrap wood: given its natural perspiring characteristics, it prevents mold and bacteria growth.

So, very often polyethylene reels are used to cover frames, houseware, and wooden objects.
